Disney 2021

When we left Disney in March 2020 we had no intentions on returning in 2021. Disney planned on opening lots of new rides and restaurants in 2021 and we wanted to wait until everything was done before we returned. Then Disney shut down because of the virus and all Lucy talked about was how much she missed Disney. When they opened back up in July Lucy and I started watching our favorite Disney vloggers on Youtube. After months of thinking about it, and listening to people talk about how safe they felt, we decided that it was safe for our family to travel back to Disney. An entire year before we originally planned.

Our hotel that we usually stayed at wasn’t reopened so we picked a new place on the skyliner. I don’t think I will ever stay anywhere on Disney property without access to either the skyliner or Monorail ever again.

I have lots of pictures from our week. Grab a cup of coffee or a Dole Whip and enjoy!

Our week in pictures:

He was afraid of the rollercoasters but he could rock the Magic Carpets like nobody’s business
Lucy had a list of things she wanted to eat this trip!

We went during Epcot’s Festival of the Arts and ate our way around the park

Not all of that food was from Epcot. We tried treats at ALL of the parks!

It was our first Disney vacation as a family of 4. We really missed the older girls but we still had a wonderful time. Disney did EVERYTHING right keeping people safe during this crazy time. I’m so glad that we decided to take the trip. These memories will last forever!!

I’m Back!!

It feels so good to be back in this little space. You didn’t miss much of our 2020. Just like everyone else we were stuck inside. Ok, there were some pretty big moments, too. Chloe graduated from high school:

There wasn’t a huge traditional graduation, instead they did groups of 20 (or maybe it was 30) kids at a time and their 5 family members. It was a nice ceremony and definitely appreciated after all the hard work these kids put in over the years.

She missed out on prom but her and her friends dressed up and I took some pictures for them:

We had a wedding in the family! Liz and Jamie got married.

Jon and I took Beckett and Lucy to Nantucket for a long weekend with some friends

We started our homeschooling journey

We celebrated holidays (differently this year) and our yearly traditions (with masks on):

I have a hard time sitting here complaining about 2020. Of course, it wasn’t the year we were all expecting or even hoping for. Life was put on hold BUT I got so much extra time with Jon and the kids this year and for that I will always be thankful.
