We had such a nice day on Saturday. This was the first Saturday Jon had off in a while. We took the girls and Megan’s friend Paige to the farm in the morning.

Later on in the day Jon started working on the wood pile. Hoping to finish it up soon! The girls and I stacked it while he cut.

I spent most of Sunday sick in bed but

I woke up this morning to some gorgeous views in the backyard.

This week in one of Lucy’s workbooks we worked on “big and little”. These pictures of her and Emma reminded me of that. She looks just like Emma did when Emma was 4.

 

Jon had to work this morning so I took the girls out to the field to get some pretty fall photos. I took over 100 of them! These are some of my favorites.

Lucy worked hard on her wine cork fall tree last Friday. 

She is a very serious painter!

Lucy and I took a little detour on the way to Trader Joe’s this morning. We stopped at the farm so that Lucy could play with the goats and sheep. She also loves playing on the hay. The weather has been perfect this fall so it’s been wonderful doing so many outside things together. 

Today is another gorgeous fall day. I spent most of it outside playing with Lucy while the others were at school. 

The first thing Chloe said to me when she got off the bus yesterday was “please tell me you made an apple pie today”. I didn’t. So today I made her an apple pie. 

This is my favorite apron. I wear it all the time. Jon bought it for me from Anthropologie last Christmas. It makes me feel like a modern day 50’s housewife. I like feeling like a modern day 50’s housewife, makes me happy (like clean closets)…….notice my black and white photos. 😉

My little helper is stealing apple slices out of the bowl. 

Mmmmmmmmm Chloe is going to love this!!

Lucy and I have been going on little walks together this week. The air is getting crisp and the colors on the trees are starting to pop. Today, while we walked, she told me a story about Santa Claus and the elf. It looks like she is trying to rush these beautiful fall days. 

Today was one of those perfect fall days. We had a morning full or errands and then an afternoon of apple picking and church. This is one of the first times that we went to church as a family of 6. Oh my God, Lucy was so stinkin cute sitting between Jon and I with her hands in the perfect prayer pose. I’m pretty sure that taking pictures of my kids is frowned upon in the Catholic Church so it’s one of those sweet little memories I will have to keep in my mind. I did get a lot at the apple orchard though.

I had to include this one of Megan getting ready for her school dance last night. 

Can’t wait to start making apple pies!! I love fall!!
