……. for germs.
I have a bunch of little sickies in the house this week
Lucy’s been out of school all week. I finally took her to the doctors today and it’s just a virus. The doctor prescribed soup, chocolate ice cream and Disney movies. I think I can handle that.
Beckett has a cold but that hasn’t stopped him from taking care of his big sister. He LOVES having her home during the day, we both do.
Just a few pictures from today. We got another 14 inches of snow today. That brings our total up to 48 inches!!
How many more days until spring??
My New Years resolution was to take more pictures this year. Today is the 11th and I haven’t taken my camera out once!
This morning we took the girls to TJ Maxx and Lucy fell in love with this gigantic unicorn
You could tell the woman working behind the counter got a kick out of her. She looked pretty cute walking up to the counter with a unicorn bigger than her and her Christmas money (thank you, Auntie Di)
We also played in the snow for a little while with Chloe and Lucy
Fun, but too cold!!!
Jon is leaving for London this week and Emma has to go back to College in a week so we’ve been trying to enjoy as much family time as possible. No time to take my pictures. I did snap this one at dinner tonight, though. I love that we had a dinner guest. It’s not everyday that we’re able to dine with a majestic unicorn
Thank God for iPhones!
There hasn’t been one snowflake to fall from the sky since I woke up at 5:30 this morning but they have another day off. It’s been raining ALL day!! It’s been a perfect day for some tea:
A perfect day to watch some Netflix movies on your iPad:
And a perfect day to watch some makeup tutorials on youtube:
It’s also a perfect day for me to sit here with a friend and commiserate about sending our babies to kindergarten in the fall. We had kindergarten parents night last night and it was great to see some familiar faces. As I looked around the room I realized that I’m not the only one stressing out about sending our “babies” to school and that made me feel better. You know what they say, “misery loves company”. Hahaha!
I decorated the kitchen last night so the girls could wake up to a sweet Valentine’s Day treat:
They had a half day of school today so I got to spend the day with the 5 sweetest girls I know:
How lucky am I?
In other news, I’m trying to teach Lucy that it is not ok for her to answer the phone. Even though it’s funny when she tells the telemarketers “duh, my dad’s at work”, I’ve been missing all kinds of phone calls. She is just too quick for me! Plus, if she’s upstairs I just don’t have a chance! She did make me a sweet Valentine’s day card so I can’t be too upset.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
It might be cold but it sure is pretty!!
I guess it can be pretty fun for those 12 and under too!
I haven’t been a huge fan of winter this year. It’s too long and too cold. I do, however, love our winter afternoons. The girls don’t play any sports in the winter and Megan’s musicals have been cancelled since her teacher announced her pregnancy. They come home off the bus and I love it!!
Afternoon snacks are a must! Icecream for Chloe, cereal for Emma and a salad for Megan.
They spend time working on their homework:
They spend time on their iPads and iPods:
They snuggle with their little sister who misses them so much during the day:
And they make a mess out of the house that I cleaned all day! They leave their shoes, sweaters, jackets and bags all over the kitchen!!
I love it!! I love having them home with me every afternoon!!
These pictures are great and we’re having a great winter so far but I really can’t wait to see some green in my pictures!! I can’t wait to see flowers, green trees and tank tops!! Thankfully the weather has been “warm” enough to start melting this snow. I’m ready for spring!!
Lucy called Jon at work yesterday and left him the sweetest little message about taking her sledding when he got home. He ended up working late but he doesn’t say no to her too often so he took her out last night before bedtime.
I love this guy!! He’s the best daddy and husband in the whole world!
