Chloe is a Teenager!!

18 days ago Chloe Jane became a teenager. And what a great teenager she is!! She’s caring and sweet. She always thinks about everyone else’s feelings and wouldn’t say a negative thing about anyone. She works hard at everything she does and doesn’t give up easily on anything. She is a great sister and daughter. She makes us proud every day!!

IMG_1882This one was from her actual birthday. We took the girls to the movies and out for Chinese food. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool.

The following weekend she celebrated by having her grandparents up for a small birthday cookout:

IMG_1889 IMG_1888 IMG_1887

Then of course a small friend party the following week. We went out for manicures and pizza

Not the greatest picture but it was such a fun day for her!

IMG_1919Then a “small” desert for by the pool.

Happy belated birthday to Chloe!! We love you!!

A Sprinkle For Our Son

We had such a nice day on Saturday at our “sprinkle”. I’m so happy that our family still gets excited…..5 babies later….. to share in another little Friary coming into the world. It was mostly family and of course Tracey who is like my family. Even though I know it’s a boy and I’ve been buying boy things it still seemed a little weird opening blue instead of pink. I kinda felt like I was opening someone else’s presents. Ha!

IMG_1203I had a cute little helper who is out of this world excited to become a big sister.

IMG_1193IMG_1229Lucy has since adopted Bambi as her own.

Tracey sent me this adorable collage this morning of the 4 girls from both Lucy’s shower and the shower on Saturday

photo (9)I love it and can’t believe how much they’ve grown in seven years!!

IMG_1978

IMG_1187I feel a little guilty that this is the only shot I took of Jon all day on Saturday so I had to include it. I brought my camera with big plans to take lots of pictures of all the families but I didn’t. It was about 300 degrees outside (see pool picture above)  and I didn’t have the energy to lug it around.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate with us!! We’re all so excited to introduce you to our baby next month!!

Bump Update 33 Weeks!

How Far Along? 33 weeks

Baby is the size of: a Durian…..I have no idea what that is (according to The Bump)

Total Weight Gain: 29 pounds.

The Bump: Measuring right at 33 weeks now. The midwife thinks that his positioning a few weeks ago might have been why he was measuring a few weeks ahead.

Food Cravings: Just the usual fruit and ice cream. Just finished off two bowls of grapes.

Symptoms: Lots of Braxton Hicks contractions this morning but they’ve seemed to taper off.

Sleep: I’ve been sleeping ok this week. I usually get up early morning (like 4am) for an hour or two but then fall back asleep for a few more hours.

What I miss: Nothing

Names: Yes!

Gender: Boy!

Movement: Still wiggling all over the place. He also gets hiccups a few times a day and sometimes they wake me up in the middle of the night.

Maternity Clothes: Give me all the sundresses!! I think I might hate wearing normal clothes this fall.

Labor Signs: Not yet.

Best moment of the week:  Listening to the baby’s heartbeat this morning. ❤

What I’m excited about and looking forward to: We have a pretty fun weekend planned. Cookout tomorrow and Red Sox game on Sunday.

Purchases: The sweetest little outfit for the baby. The day after I found out I was having a boy Jon and I went shopping and I started to panic that boy’s clothes were so blah. I was on a mission to find him the cutest little outfits and I’m happy to say “Mission Accomplished”. I’m obsessed with little boys clothes now 🙂

Baby’s room: Still haven’t started it. I have a few more things I’d like to get but I know I have plenty of time. I don’t think we’ll start his room until after he’s born.

Bump Update 32 Weeks!!!

How Far Along? 32 weeks 2 days

Baby is the size of: a squash (according to The Bump)

Total Weight Gain: 29 pounds. I can explain that extra pound from this week. Just see “best moment of the week”

The Bump: Round, low and wiggling all around. He is constantly having hiccups too.

Food Cravings: Everything! I have been so hungry this week. Fingers crossed that what they say is true and baby is now getting all of these extra pounds.

Symptoms: I have been so tired lately. All of my energy is gone. I went upstairs to make the bed yesterday and fell asleep for almost 2 hours.

Sleep: I slept great last night, minus the 3 bathroom trips.

What I miss: Nothing

Names: Yes!

Gender: Boy!

Movement: He is head down (according to ultrasound) and all of his movements have been very low. The girls used to sit right up under my ribs and I haven’t had to deal with that this time.

Maternity Clothes: I live in dresses and skirts. I love being pregnant in the summer!! I really do. The less clothing the better. Ha!

Labor Signs: Not yet.

Best moment of the week:  Jon and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary on Friday. We went to dinner at The Capital Grill and I had the seared tenderloins with 2 lobster tails. OMG! We split two sides, the lobster mac and cheese and truffle fries. They surprised us at the end with cheesecake and chocolate espresso moose. OMG!! I have never been so full in all of my life! It was delicious!!

What I’m excited about and looking forward to: Jon and I are taking Chloe and Lucy to their first Red Sox game next weekend!

Purchases: Nothing for the baby, just lots of school supplies and clothes for the girls.

Baby’s room:Luckily the baby will be with us for the first few months. I can’t see the attic being done before he’s born.

Time has dragged on this entire pregnancy until recently. I can’t believe the girls go back to school in 3 weeks!! Emma moves back to school in less than 3 weeks and I’m officially not ready to let summer go.

Bump Update 31 Weeks!

How Far Along? 31 weeks 5 days

Baby is the size of: a pineapple (according to The Bump)

Total Weight Gain: 28 pounds. I spoke too soon about my weight gain slowing down. I have been starving this week!!

The Bump: Round and low! My bump was measuring 2 weeks ahead at my appointment last week.

Food Cravings: Sweets! I’ve always had a bit of a sweet tooth but this is crazy!! Having leftover birthday cake around hasn’t helped at all.

Symptoms: No new symptoms.

Sleep:   Back to not sleeping. Plus, I’ve been so hot at night!!

What I miss: Nothing

Names: Yes!

Gender: Boy!

Movement: He moves constantly at night.

Maternity Clothes: Dresses are my best friend.

Labor Signs: Not yet.

Best moment of the week:  Seeing the little Mister on my ultrasound scan last week. He weighs 4pounds 2 ounces already. I think if I go to term I will have another 9 pounder!

What I’m excited about and looking forward to: Our anniversary date this Friday, 16 years!

Purchases: Nothing this week. I have officially run out of room. Plus, I started school shopping for the girls this week.

Baby’s room: The baby’s room hasn’t been started but the attic is coming along nicely. It’ll be great once the girls are up there so we can get the house back in order and start his room.

Bump Update 30 Weeks!!

How Far Along? 30 weeks 3 days

Baby is the size of: a cucumber (according to The Bump)

Total Weight Gain: 25 pounds. So surprised that I didn’t put any weight on this week. Most of my weight came at the beginning of the pregnancy.

The Bump: Round and low!

Food Cravings: I’m not having any cravings lately besides the usual, fruit and ice cream.

Symptoms: I’m still getting Braxton Hicks contractions. My body is also TIRED!!

Sleep:   It’s been a little better lately besides getting up 3 or 4 times a night to go to the bathroom.

What I miss: Nothing

Names: Yes!

Gender: Boy!

Movement: all over the place! I love being able to feel the little feet poking out now.

Maternity Clothes: I’m living in dresses and skirts still. I also bought a pair of maternity leggings from Gap that are out of this world comfortable!!

Labor Signs: Not yet.

Best moment of the week:  It was a pretty quiet week around here. My parents came up with Colton last week and it was great having him around for the day. Megan went to Taylor Swift so visited with Jon’s parents so the girls could swim. Thats about it.

What I’m excited about and looking forward to: My ultrasound on Friday!! Can’t wait to find out how big he is!

Purchases: diapers, wipes (still obsessing about having enough) and a video monitor I found on Groupon.

Baby’s room: The baby’s room hasn’t been started but the attic is coming along nicely. It’ll be great once the girls are up there so we can get the house back in order and start his room.

Patriots Hall of Fame

The plan for Saturday was to meet at Patriots Place for Heather to drop Megan off from their week down the Cape. Since Chloe was at my parents house we asked them to meet us there too and go to the hall of fame with us. We try to go every other summer to get us ready for football season (our favorite part of the year).

Just a few pictures to remember a fun day:

Cape Cod Day

Do people around here actually call it Cape Cod? We went “down the Cape” last Thursday to meet my parents at Mayflower Beach. We try to get in one beach day with them each summer (except last year). We were missing Megan since she was spending the week (down the Cape) with Paige.

IMG_1726 IMG_1725 IMG_1727 IMG_1728

Chloe was with us too but I didn’t get any pictures of her (sorry Chloe). She ended up going home with my parents to spend a couple of days (a mini vacation for her, which she was spoiled at 🙂 )

After Mayflower Beach Jon and I took my two Mini Me’s to Provincetown for the rest of the afternoon. We had to stop at Captain Frosty’s first.

IMG_1730Seriously, mini me’s

IMG_1729 IMG_1731

IMG_1736

Then we jumped back in the car and drove down to Ptown

IMG_1741 IMG_1744 IMG_1745We always have so much fun walking around there and stopping at all the little shops. WARNING: The toy store on the main street isn’t actually a toy store. I didn’t realize that until after I pointed it out to Lucy. It gave me a good laugh though 🙂

Ptown is one of the prettiest places on the Cape (in my opinion) and one of the most fun too!!

IMG_1747 IMG_1749 IMG_1750 IMG_1758After walking around for what seemed like hours for this pregnant mama we headed off to Pepe’s Wharf for dinner. We ate there a couple of years ago and had to go again. I’m funny like that when it comes to places to eat. I knew we would enjoy the food and the atmosphere is so pretty so why try something different? Especially when you’re pregnant and food is SOOO important to making or breaking your day.

IMG_1759 IMG_1760Just look at the view!!

IMG_1761 IMG_1762

After dinner we jumped back in the car and headed off to Race Point to watch the sunset

IMG_1768 IMG_1780A couple of years ago I took some of my most favorite pictures of the girls up on these life guard chairs.

IMG_1766I’m hoping to get all 5 of them up there next year.

IMG_1779

It was a very long and busy day down the cape. It took us almost 3 hours to get home but it was well worth it.

Bump Update 29 Weeks!!

How Far Along? 29 weeks

Baby is the size of: an acorn squash (according to the bump)

Total Weight Gain: 25 pounds.

The Bump: Round and low!

Food Cravings: Not craving anything out of the ordinary this week.

Symptoms: braxton hicks contractions

Sleep:   Pregnancy insomnia is in full effect!

What I miss: nothing! I read an article this week about a woman who is pregnant in the summer after having a miscarriage. She talks about the heat, the heartburn, the swelling feet and how she wouldn’t change any of it because she knows that she has a healthy baby in there and I feel the EXACT same way!!

Names: Yes!

Gender: Boy!

Movement: all over the place!

Maternity Clothes: yes, I’ve been living in all of my maternity dresses and skirts. SO much more comfortable than my maternity shorts.

Labor Signs: No. Although, after walking all day yesterday I was starting to get a little nervous when my braxton hicks contractions wouldn’t let up.

Best moment of the week:  We’ve had a few really great moments this week. Last weekend in Newport was a ton of fun, as was yesterday in Dennis. We spent a few hours with my parents at the beach, then took Emma and Lucy to Ptown for the afternoon and watched the sun go down at Race Point.

What I’m excited about and looking forward to: Saturday afternoon when we pick Megan and Chloe up from their mini vacations.

Purchases: Sophie the Giraffe

Baby’s room: It’s really no closer to being done then it was last week.
