This Moment

I’ve been sitting here going through old blog posts from when my girls were all young. I’ve also been looking through old blog posts from one of my favorite bloggers (who inspired me to start my own) and it’s crazy how fast time has flown by. How much these kids have grown (mine and her’s). I’m missing my babies like crazy!! So much that my breathe keeps catching and my eyes start filling up. I miss posting about their first days of school and simple grocery store runs. Play dates, sleepovers and first field hockey games. It all went by so quickly. Then I hear “mom, take a picture” and turn to see this

I’ve been soaking in all of these baby moments with him because I know how quickly time is flying. Two more years until he’s off to kindergarten 😭

Summer Update

Just a quick photo dump over here so I have these pictures.

Before we left for London we had a lobster boil for Marlene and Brian’s 50th wedding anniversary

Officially half way through the month of July and I’m already dreading the thought of sending everyone off to school! Luckily we have a few more vacations to look forward to. Happy Summer!!

May Catch Up

I just opened my planner and realized that June is almost here so lets play catch up on May before these pictures get lost.

img_7431

This picture of Chloe was actually taken in April, the night she got home from Costa Rica, but I love it so much and had to include it. I was SOOOOO happy to have her home from Costa Rica!!

img_7429

Its pretty much been raining the entire month of May (with the exception of this week)

img_7497img_7548-1

Friary Family birthday season kicked off with Emma turning 23!! TWENTY THREE! How?!?!

img_7459

Beckett started spring soccer. His first 3 practices were held indoors due to all the rain we’ve been having.

img_7476img_7536img_7609img_7806

Winnie is always by someone’s side.

img_7424

I love watching him play with his toys!

img_7844

Lucy is his favorite person to play with. Melts my heart when she comes home from school and plays with him. He waits all day for her to get home.

img_7434

My shopping buddy

Orange lizards

Hanging out in my room while I was making my bed

img_7444

Warm spring days

img_7578

I got a new apple watch for Mother’s Day and was pretty proud of my morning steps!

img_7508

My sweetest boy

img_7772

We tried potty training one day. It lasted ONE DAY! Why are boys so hard to train? This is one stubborn little guy. I’ve been buying small packs of diapers once a week instead of a big box in hopes that we’ll get there soon.

img_7815

Beckett is dying for a little brother. Ha! He tells EVERYONE that his baby brother will be here soon. Hahahaha!

img_7818

We sat with this couple at Nathan’s christening and Beckett fell in love with them. Here he is going through this lady’s pocketbook. He ended up coming home with a pen and some hand sanitizer. hahaha!

img_7797

These two cute dogs showed up on my front steps one day. They hung out with us for a few hours until their owners came and got them. Beck cried that he wanted to keep the black one.

img_7756

Flowers from Megan. And the sweetest note from Chloe.

img_7828

How Lucy does her homework. He was patiently waiting for her to finish so she could play with him.

img_7833

Cutest lunch date in dire need of a haircut. Ha!

img_7792img_7784

Went to our first Red Sox game of the season. The next one will be in LONDON! Can’t wait!

In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb

April 8th!! What?!?!? Happy Birthday to my mom!!

I feel like I blinked and March was gone and April seems to be heading the same way. This little space has been quiet but life definitely isn’t! The other day I was playing in the driveway with Lucy and Beckett and it hit me that I’ve had babies and kids for the last 23 (next month) years!! I’ve spent my entire adult life as a mom. I can’t imagine having life any other way but WOW!!

I’ve taken a lot of pictures over the last few weeks so here goes:

img_6928

Deep in thought. Hahaha!! He is such a little cutie pie!!

img_6975img_6965

Lucy got some gummy sushi from Amazon. It tasted about as great as regular sushi. Ha!

img_7113

As we were walking in the grocery aisle the other day he said “hey, mom, take a picture of this and planted a big kiss on Lucy.

img_6960

The weather has been so nice so we’ve been spending a lot of time outside.

img_6969

Jon and I had a date night last week and I had to snap a picture of this gorgeous sunset.

img_6935

The last two years Tracey has been coming up to spend a day with me. We go shopping, out to lunch and she does my school runs with me. It’s turning into one of my favorite days of the year. Tracey fun fact: when I moved up here she would come up every couple of weeks to spend the day with me and the girls. I think she felt bad because she knew I was all alone up here. She’s the BEST!!

img_6941img_7063img_7006img_7011img_7029

This puppy is getting so big!!

img_7047

Lucy art!

img_6949

That picture just cracks me up so I had to add it!

img_2150

Jon took Megan out to breakfast last week and then dropped her off to meet her friends for a soul cycle class. She LOVES her soul cycle classes!! and she loves living in the city!!

img_7008

School lunch for Lucy

img_7016

Beckett lunch. He’s so picky!! I’m having the hardest time trying to get nutritious meals into this kid. He is all about junk food so now I have to limit what we keep in the house. Which is obviously a good thing. Haha! Thanks, Beckett!!

img_7069img_7107img_7085img_7099img_7094img_7103img_7073img_7093

img_7102

We went to see our Megan in the city. Can’t wait to have her home!

img_7118

I stole this picture off of Collin’s Instagram because it was so cute! Love Emma in her new glasses.

A few more random pictures:

img_7117

Marlene found this old puzzle that she was gifted about 13 years ago.  Look at those sweet little faces!

I can’t wait for school to be out for the summer so I can have all the pieces to this Friary puzzle back home for a few months!

Catching Up

img_6795

I wish I had pictures of me sitting at my grandparent’s kitchen table from when I was young. I can still picture how their kitchens were set up and how they smelled. I wonder if my kids will have those same kinds of memories.

img_6874img_6827img_6788

Emma and Megan were both on spring break this week. Emma is going to school full time and working full time. When she’s not off with Colin you will most likely find her like this….. book in hand with a cup of tea.img_6916

Megan went back to school yesterday. Yesterdays drop off was as hard as the September drop off. It’s crazy that she is on the last leg of her freshman year. img_6882

I had to pull the car over and snap a picture when I saw this rainbow

img_6913

March definitely came in like a lion with all of the snow so we’ve been spending most of our time at home waiting for the warm weather.

The bears are back so I know its coming!

Beck pics:img_6741img_6871img_6881img_6887img_6908img_6728img_6758img_6841

Bedtime is the longest part of my day.

img_6854

15 minutes after he falls asleep I start to miss him. BUT he comes into our room EVERY night now so I don’t have to wait too long to snuggle him up. HA!

img_6790

He is such a BOY! He is into EVERYTHING these days. The other day he did this to the couch and when I asked what happened he told me he had no idea

img_6770

That guilty face leads me to believe that he had SOME idea about what happened.

Jon was on work travel last week. When Winnie heard the garage door open she sat by the door like this

img_6900

I think she missed him.

img_6711

We all did.

img_6862

I got to meet Laura’s new baby this week. I’m so thankful that my friends keep having babies so that I don’t have to. HA!! Beckett did say that he was very Coot (cute) and that he wanted one just like that. Hahahaha! Sorry, buddy.

Happy St. Patricks Day!

November Little Things

November flew by this year!! I can’t believe that we are three weeks away from Christmas!! We haven’t even gotten our tree yet. Well, I put up a TON of trees around the house (sorry, Jon) but we don’t have the main tree yet.

I figured I’d get some of my November pictures up before the new year. Ha!

We started the month with our annual thankful tree

Chloe had her first ever high school semi formal

Kristen and Marvin were here from L.A. so we got to spend a little time with them. Her sister lives right outside of Boston so I grabbed Megan on my way over.

We decided that we wanted to get another puppy so we started that hunt earlier in the month

We found this cute guy but in the end this sweet girl won our hearts

She has fit in so nicely with our family.

Jon burned dinner one night and we couldn’t get the alarm to shut off. The security company sent the fire department even though I told them not to.

Beckett kept yelling “it’s daddy’s cooking”.

Haha!

We had our first snowfall of the season

We had Megan home for 6 days!! We all went to PF Chang’s one night for dinner

Thanksgiving was another day that flew by! I only have a couple of pictures since I hosted

Had amazing Celtics seats

A few more random photos from the month:

Our thankful tree was full by the end of the month

I couldn’t be more thankful for this family of mine!!

img_4569img_4571img_4567

This is how Beckett looks when it’s time for Megan to go back to school

img_4560img_4559

img_4741img_4742img_4761-1img_4756img_4746img_4759

We drove into the city this weekend to take Megan out for breakfast. We miss her so much!! I’m just happy she’s not across the country from us! We also met a doodle on the street that we all fell in love with.

img_1308Lucy went to a haunted house with some friends.

img_4508

This gorgeous girl is at the stage where she’s never around anymore either. Always working, studying or with friends.

img_4814img_4823

We’re all ready for Halloween!!

Life Lately, According to My Phone

I have 32,533 photos backed up on my iCloud. All of those photos are less than 7 years old. I’m pretty much attached to my phone, snapping pictures all day long, no matter where I go. Its safe to say that I’m an iPhone addict. Ha! I’ve honestly been trying to get better at not checking Instagram and Facebook all day everyday but my obsessive picture taking will probably never stop. Although, recently we’ve had a few really great moments where I didn’t take my phone out at all and I was just present in the moment. It felt really great but now I’m secretly wishing I had a photo. Hahahaha!

Sports:

img_4483img_4425

Lucy is in the middle of her cross country season right now and just started doing a lacrosse clinic. Beck still has another few weeks of soccer left. The back of the SUV is filled with sports equipment, snacks and my soccer mom chair. LOVE it!!

Fall weather:

img_3992img_4401img_4396img_4399img_4422img_1639

It’s my absolute favorite time of year!! Apple picking, pumpkin picking, farm stand visiting and hiking with Jon and B.

img_4352img_4198-1img_4079

Dates with Jon, dates with the kids and dates with friends!

img_4016

nonstop school work

img_4451

Boston visits!

img_4334

Megan gave me a road snack one day and now I’m on the hunt for little bags of pickles. Ha!

img_4445

img_3976

We love when Megan comes home for the weekend!!

img_4117-1

Two days before we loss our sweet Daisy. They were both waiting for Jon to come out of the bathroom. Hahaha! We miss her sooooo much!

img_4216

Lucy can beat any claw machine around!! It’s so crazy to watch her win every time!

img_3916

Emma’s first day of school picture that I’ve been meaning to post. Senior in college and still made to pose for first day pic! Hahaha!

img_4162img_4434img_4472

A couple of B pictures just because he’s so cute!!

img_3968

And…..a family photo because I really, really like these people. I’m trying to get used to smaller family dinners. Dinnertime used to be one of my favorite moments of the day. I LOVED having everyone sitting around that kitchen table, talking, yelling, singing, laughing, arguing. Now I’m lucky if there are 5 of us sitting there. Most days it’s just the two littles, Jon and I. Chloe has a new job so she misses dinner a couple times a week. It really makes me sad. I’m not sure WHAT I’m going to do when she goes to college in 2 years!! A few weeks ago, when we loss Daisy, I had all 7 of us at that kitchen table and my mama heart was FULL!! (thats the picture I wish I had) . I don’t want to rush the fall but I am really looking forward to having everyone home for the holidays this year.

Soccer!!

I’m pretty behind on this space but I HAVE to add some pictures of Beckett playing soccer. He is loving it so far!!

It’s a 45 minute class every Friday night and this kid already knows how to Bend it Like Beckett.
