Our first trip to the ice cream shop this year

Lots of time has been spent on this field. I love watching the girls play but I’m ready for a break.

We weren’t 100% sure if it was crazy hair day or not (it was) so we decided on a side pony tail. That was crazy enough for Lu.

Oh my! The carnival came back to town again this year.

Jon’s been in London for over a week. I’m looking forward to him coming home. I’m exhausted! And I miss him. I wonder if anyone will notice if I hide in here next time.

Happy 18th Birthday, Emma!!

We celebrated Emma’s 18th birthday yesterday. She had a great day at school with her friends. She even got a new pet goldfish from her friend, TJ. We made Emma 2 of her favorite meals last night for dinner, hamburgers and homemade mac and cheese. Everyone keeps saying that they can’t believe that Emma is 18 already. They keep saying it went by so fast. It feels different for me. Maybe it’s because I had Emma at such a young age. She’s been here with me during EVERY big moment in my life. My wedding, her sisters’ births, new jobs, new homes, new town. You name it and Emma has been here with me. Sometimes I forget that she’s only 18 and not 37.

I think it will hit me when we drop her off at school in September. It will be the first time in my adult life that I don’t have my Emma right by my side.

Happy Birthday, Emma!! I love you so much!!

Soccer Saturday

We have sports going on 7 days a week over here. This is the first time Chloe has played soccer since kindergarten. Her first game was this past Saturday. We all went and had so much fun watching her play. I was impressed at how good she was.

Hunter Hayes Concert

A few months ago I won a pair of Hunter Hayes tickets from the radio. I knew it would be a perfect concert to take Chloe to.

I was surprised at how good our seats were. We also got to see Dan+Shay and Danielle Bradbury. Hunter was Chloe’s favorite! I think she might be his new biggest fan!

Two Days With Lu

Last year at this time I was taking Lu in for her kindergarten screening. Oh man, was I upset! I remember how calmly she took the teacher’s hand and left me in the lobby on the brink of tears. She’s had the last 2 days off due to screening and even though I feel for those new mamas sending their babies off to kindergarten I got to enjoy some one on one Lucy time. We started yesterday off by going to the party store. We were in search of masks for Chloe and Megan’s semi formal this weekend. We had a ton of fun!!

After that we headed over to Target because let’s face it, Target with a little one makes me feel like a modern mama 🙂 Joking! (Not really)
Lucy picked McDonalds for lunch.

We finished our day together by taking a nice walk

We’re just hanging around the house today, watching movies and playing ponies

Oh how I’ve missed the company during the day!!

Spring Break (according to my iPhone)

Lucy had a party to go to for a little boy in her class at Jump On In. She had so much fun! That first picture is a little blurry but it cracks me up!

We did a little hiking with daddy and then again with the Desmarais girls.

Emma and I spent 9 hours looking for the perfect prom dress (this was not the one)

We had lunch at our favorite pizza place in Watertown

We drove by Jon’s college and some of his apartments. That’s always so much fun. Mostly for Jon and I. The kids could care less about how 6friarys began.
