This was our 24th Halloween trick or treating as parents! The scene looks so different from where it was only a few years ago. We are down to two little trick or treaters and pumpkin carvers over here. A little bitter sweet for sure.
We made sure to put on our annual pumpkin carving playlist while carving the night before Halloween
Beckett has been obsessed with all things Toy Story this fall so of course he needed to be Buzz Lightyear
Lucy was the cutest little she-devil
We met up with our friends to trick or treat
And came home with a ton of candy!
I miss the days of having all of my little trick or treaters here together but I never let that stop me from enjoying these days with my last two littles.
Christmas music has been playing through the house while I put out my turkeys and pilgrims. Our thankful leaves are filling up and I keep trying to convince Jon to let me put the tree up early. The holidays go by so fast so I plan on slowing down over the next two months. I’m in cozy, nesting mode right now, eager to welcome home Emma and Megan for Thanksgiving weekend!
A video from our towns trunk or treating:
I’m about 30 minutes away from turning my Christmas music on and decorating for Thanksgiving. Not kidding. But first Halloween pictures…….
I’m not really big on throwing Halloween parties…. the last one we had Emma was 5…..
But, I really couldn’t think of a good reason NOT to let Lucy have one. I see how quickly my other girls have grown up that celebrating with all these kids just felt like a good idea. I had so much fun planning and decorating for this party. I think everyone had a really good time. I know I did! I’m already thinking about next year!!
We’re officially down to two little pumpkin carvers in this house. WOW!!
The cutest little nerd and astronaut!!
We met all of Lucy’s friends and their families for trick or treat last night. They had SO much fun!!
They got tons of candy this year!!
Beckett is already on his 2nd box of nerds this morning. Hope everyone had a great Halloween! Bring on Christmas!
We had another fun Halloween this year! Jon worked from home yesterday. He took me to pick up my glasses and we ended up buying new furniture for the library. Here’s Jon in his new favorite chair:
We ended up having a house full of kids all day. I made some Halloween cupcakes for everyone, it was great! Megan’s friend, Kelsey, came trick or treating with us:
Chloe dressed up as a devil:
And Lucy was a snow princess:
Let’s take a closer look at that little cutie:
I came home from the bus stop this morning and packed up all of my Halloween decorations. I’m sure this was Megan’s last year trick or treating, probably even Chloe’s. It took a lot of convincing to get her to dress up this year. Kinda sad.
I already put out my Thanksgiving decorations today. I’m about to get started on our thankful tree. I have so much to be thankful for this year.
