Graduation

I remember the day I got these pictures back from her preschool teacher. They brought me to tears (surprise, surprise). I also remember thinking that seeing her in her high school cap and gown would crush me. But, I didn’t have to worry about that for 14 years.

I’ve been dreading graduation for months. I’ve been through this before and I know that even though I’m still their mom and they’re still my “babies”, things just change. Of course the feelings don’t change, just the day to day activities that we’ve been doing forever. Like I said in Emma’s graduation post, it’s not a bad change just different.

I lasted without tears until this next part (SAME as Emma’s graduation)

So even though I got a little teary eyed I really am so excited for her!!

img_1282

It was upside down and it made us laugh. She really is a very smart girl.

I am SO proud of her and I know that she will go on to do great things in life.

And I hope she knows that where ever life brings her, she will always have this support system who will love her and be there for her no matter what.

Happy Graduation Megan Mackenzie!!

This Moment

She was sitting on the couch while I was putting Lucy’s lunch together this morning. I turned and saw her staring at me. She smiled and I burst into tears. It’s gonna be a long week. Graduation tomorrow.

May Little Things

Just a few pictures from May so I don’t forget

img_0747img_0757

We had our first trip to the ice cream shop.

We found an awesome park close by. We plan on spending lots of time here once school gets out.

We took the birthday girl out for lunch. Can you believe she is 22?!?!?!?!

Beck got some new wheels

img_0929

Jon and I went to a couple of concerts in May, including a double date with Matt and Jen.

img_0926img_0927

Speaking of double dates….. we had lunch with Kirsten and G.

Now he thinks he’s the coolest thing out there.

Mother’s Day love with my kids

3 generations (who like to match)

img_1122img_1120

My dad had some heart procedures done recently and I spent a few days with my mom

img_1123

Megan’s chorus had their senior night and I pretty much cried throughout the entire thing. When her friend Kamryn sang I Will Always Love You I pretty much lost it. Her voice is amazing!! Her friend Lexi sang Thank God for Small Towns and I cried through that one too. It’s safe to say that I’ll be a blubbering mess at graduation and will probably embarrass her and my entire family. Ha!

img_1129img_1128img_1151

Can’t forget Lucy’s Memorial Day program. I usually cry through that one too. This year Beckett kept me too busy to get teared up. He finally met Patrick (one of the babies that Megan and Chloe babysit for). It did hit me that I won’t be at the elementary school for this program for 4 years!! So sad!!

A few more photos from the month:

More Herobility img_1139img_1149img_1155

That pretty much wraps up May. Megan is out of school and busy having fun with her friends. Emma is done too and getting ready to hit Iceland next week with Tess. Chloe and Lucy have a couple of more weeks but I know that they’re eager to finish up. We have a fun summer planned and we are all more than ready to get to it!

One more thing, scroll back up and look at that last picture of Beckett’s face. How cute is he?!?!?!?!

Prom

Another day that went by in the blink of an eye. I’ve been pretty emotional lately with all of these end of the school year things so I’m just going to let the pictures tell the story

I was so excited when she texted me that her and Alex got prom king and queen

She’s as pretty on the inside as she is on the outside. She is one of the most caring, loyal and honest people out there and NO one deserved that more than her.

I had to add that last picture of her and her favorite teacher. Now it’s on to graduation. I told her I probably won’t stop tearing up through the day until Thanksgiving break. Love you, my Meggie 💕

End of April

Let’s get caught up on the end of April before all the hoopla begins! May and June are hands down my busiest months! May starts Friary Family birthday season. We have 6 months straight of birthdays in this house. Throw in prom, graduation, graduation parties, confirmation and all of the end of the school year activities and we are pretty much out straight. But, you all know that I LOVE it!! We have such a fun summer planned and I’m sure it’ll be here before I know it.

Let’s just take a look at some of the pictures I’ve taken over the last 2 weeks first

This boy is growing like a weed!! He is SO smart and SO funny!! I LOVE moments like those pictured above because I know that before I know it I’ll be writing about his graduation. He wants me to rock him to sleep before every nap and every night before bed so I’m just going to sit here and soak it all in.

IMG_0726IMG_0585IMG_0578IMG_0577IMG_0552IMG_0551

The weather is starting to get nice so we’ve been spending as much time outside as possible.

IMG_0645

We took a Happy Meal to Lucy the other day and Beckett was in Heaven!! He loves being around her and her friends. The girls always have friends over and he is always the center of attention. Ha!

IMG_0621

Always!

IMG_0516IMG_0534

SOOOO cute!

IMG_0607

Love these girls!

That picture above was posted by Tori Spelling this week. I have to admit, he is just the cutest little guy EVER!! Instagram has been keeping me SO busy lately!! I just got offered my 8th collaboration of the year. So exciting!! Come visit me over there at instagram.com/jillfriary

Happy May!!

Life Lately

Jon hosted the Legend’s box last week at the Red Sox game and it was pretty awesome

Megan had her final choir concert last Sunday morning in Worcester.

The girls sounded amazing!! I’m still trying to get over all of the “last’s” with her. It’s crazy!! Wasn’t she just 9 years old singing in the 4th grade chorus??

Beckett and I had a lunch and shopping date with our friends

Soooooo cute!!

Jon got another 4 tickets to the Red Sox and took Emma, Chloe and Lucy (Megan had a date)

I took Beckett out for pizza and then we hung out watching Boss Baby (currently his favorite movie)

Another quick week!! A few more Pics from the week:

I’m pretty sure this boy just keeps getting cuter

Happy Saturday!!

Lucy Art

When I first started this blog I used to post a lot of Lucy art. She is a fantastic little artist!! A couple of years ago she was trying to earn money for something and my dad made an “art deal” with her. He would pay her $5 for the pictures she brought home from art class. She’s probably sold him about 10 pieces by now. Ha!! I love how much he encourages her though. It really is the sweetest thing.

This most recent piece of Lucy Art is my absolute favorite so I decided to keep it for a little while before letting her sell it to her grandfather

Amazing, right?? I’m totally thinking this one is worth at least $10 😉

Easter

Boy was Beckett excited yesterday morning! We had a plan the night before that he would wake each one of his sisters up when he woke up so we could check out what the Easter bunny brought him. He ran into each of their rooms saying “Happy Easter”. He was just the cutest little thing!!

I decided to “get in the photo” this year so most of these are of me. Ha! Ha! Sorry….

IMG_0183IMG_0185IMG_0182IMG_0188IMG_0203

We stopped at my parents for a quick visit before heading over to Marlene and Brians for dinner

IMG_0192IMG_0204

Getting a photo where all seven of us are looking, smiling, keeping eyes open is getting harder and harder. This was the best one. hahaha…not great

IMG_0207

Can I just tell you that these two are really going to miss each other this fall.

IMG_0202

Check out B with his little buddies, Connor and Camden. It was so fun watching him be able to play with his boy cousins.

It was a really great day!! Happy Easter!

Weekly iPhone Photos

I can’t believe that February is more than half over!! Time sure flies when you’re having fun!! This was a very busy, but fun week.

Last Saturday Emma and I went with Liz and all the girls to see the Hasty Pudding show at Harvard. We had dinner in Harvard Square first and then stopped off for a drink before the show began

img_8906-1img_8928-1img_8903-1

It’s crazy that Emma and Ally are old enough to go to the shows (and bars) with us now.

img_8907-1

We had front row

img_8911-1img_8910-1

Monday I introduced Beck to the potty. I surprised him with the potty book and the potty and he was actually excited about it. He stripped down to nothing and spent the entire day peeing on the potty. Of course, we had a plumber show up that day so that was a little interesting. Ha! He did a great job all day but hasn’t sat on it since!

img_8924-1

Tuesday I took Megan prom dress shopping. I LOVE LOVE LOVE shopping for prom dresses! I’m not even kidding. Her dress is PERFECT!

img_8950img_8945

PERFECT!!

Wednesday was Valentine’s

facetune_14-02-2018-16-26-31-1img_9002

It was also Senior night at the basketball game

img_9016img_9044img_9040img_9045

It makes me want to cry!! I can’t believe she is graduating and going off to college!

Thursday we had Lucy’s 4th grade chorus concert

img_9041

Off to Middle School next year. Yikes!!

I finished the week off by going to the spa. Liz gave me a gift certificate for my birthday over a year ago but I hadn’t gotten a chance to use it until now. Tomorrow is Megan’s cheer competition. I’m hoping they advance because if not it’s the last one. EVER. I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet!!

A few more photos from the week:

Happy Saturday!!

Beckett Goes to Starbucks

Beckett has a new favorite drink. It’s called a blended chocolate milk. Hahaha! He always hears the girls talking about Starbucks so it’s just one of those places he always tells me he wants to go to.

After a quick Toys R Us trip on Saturday

We took Beck to Starbucks.

He was a little curious about his sisters drinks too

But ultimately decided that he liked his best

Love my new little Starbucks date 💕
