We had a few friends over Sunday for the Patriots season opener. We love any excuse to make a big pot of Jambalaya!

Emma’s field hockey team, also known as the NM Patriots, had their season opener as well.

Chloe wasn’t feeling well this week so I don’t have any iphone photos of her. I had to throw this one in though because last week she was so excited to start wearing her new clothes to school!

I went to Whole Foods for the first time yesterday. I felt like a kid in a healthy candy store! I have never been more excited to walk into a grocery store. The place was filled with all natural, whole, organic YUMMINESS!! I bought this pineapple, mango, banana, spinach smoothie that tasted like Heaven in a plastic cup. We also found Chloe’s favorite Dr.Praeger’s Spinach pancake in kid shapes! We stocked up on some hemp hearts too!! Seriously, this store is right up there with Nordstrom for Jon and I. Can’t wait to go back!!

I wish I had a picture of him running when it came down but I was standing at the front door and he would have knocked me over for sure!

We woke up this morning to find this little guy in our backyard. How cute is he? Lucy’s playhouse is the perfect size for him!! After enjoying him for an hour we gave him back 😦

Daisy’s New Bed

Ever since we put in our hardwood floors the dog has been scratching them up. So today Lucy and I went to Target after the girls left for school and bought Daisy a new bed. She was SO excited when we brought it home for her!!!

That lasted for all of 5 minutes:

Cookie Date

The girls enjoyed their first day of school yesterday. Lucy and I kept busy all day long. We made some cookies for our first day of school cookie date with Chloe and Megan (Emma was a field hockey practice). We also started working in one of her workbooks. She was a little quiet without the girls here, though. As the bus pulled away this morning she said “I miss the girls already”.

Last night we had a nice “last day of summer” dinner with the girls.

Emma, Megan and Chloe woke up at 5am this morning, which means I also had to wake up at 5am this morning. I see lots of coffee in my near future!

Cousin Cookout times 2!

We ended the summer with two really nice parties with our families. Jon’s mom threw her annual cousin cookout on Saturday. I didn’t get as many pictures as I would have liked. I thought maybe if I ran around with my camera all day people would have thought I was crazy. I did get a couple of cute ones with Lucy and Sam.

As you can see I didn’t care if my parents and brother’s thought I was crazy with my camera:

They made me figure out the self timer on this one in less then 30 seconds. I love the expressions on everyone’s faces!

I was a little sad leaving both parties this weekend. We only get together with our extended family once a year now that we live so far away and everyone is busy raising their own families. I love having these pictures to look back on. I know that we have made so many nice memories for our girls.
