Patriots Hall of Fame

The plan for Saturday was to meet at Patriots Place for Heather to drop Megan off from their week down the Cape. Since Chloe was at my parents house we asked them to meet us there too and go to the hall of fame with us. We try to go every other summer to get us ready for football season (our favorite part of the year).

Just a few pictures to remember a fun day:

Christmas!!

We had such a nice Christmas this year! Jon and I spent Christmas Eve day cooking, preparing for our Christmas dinner with our family. We took the girls to 4:00 Mass and then picked up some Chinese food on the way home. It was the first time we’ve ordered out  but I’m thinking it’s the start of a new tradition. IMG_0609

After dinner the girls exchanged their presents. Lucy gave her sisters some new sunglassesIMG_0657

She gave Jon a monkeyIMG_0659IMG_0645IMG_0651IMG_0653IMG_0656

We all got some new Christmas pajamas, settled into the living room for some pictures and then watched Christmas Vacation.IMG_0632IMG_0635

Thanksgiving

IMG_0510

I haven’t posted anything here since Halloween!! What?? We’ve been so busy this month that I rarely took my camera out. We did our usual November activities, including our thankful tree. This year the leaves on the branches weren’t as thick. Not that we didn’t have as much to be thankful for but because Emma’s been away just about all month (with a few quick visits here and there) and Jon’s been in London for most of the month. I HAD to jump in here to post our family photo from yesterday. It was great spending the holiday with my parents, brothers and all these kids!

Looking forward to taking down the Thanksgiving decorations tomorrow and putting up the Christmas ones.

Thankful

Our thankful tree is so full that it fell off the wall today! It’s fun to see all of the things that the girls are thankful for this year. Things like their sisters, their friends, their parents, You tube, candy, sports and their animals. The list is HUGE! Over 100 leaves on the tree this year.

This year, like every year, I am most thankful for the special people in my life.

Like my friends who love my kids and always make a big deal out of them:

My inlaws who treat me like their daughter:

My mom and dad, the 9am phone calls are one of my favorite parts of the day.

They love us more then anything and we can feel it

My girls:Image

I’m thankful everyday that I’m their mother and that I get to stay home with them. There is nothing in the world more important to me then my family. Being able to stay home and take care of them has been one of the biggest blessings in my life.

I’m thankful that I get to be married to my best friend. I’m thankful for him every day for doing his job, and doing it well. So that I can stay home and raise our girls.

I love you, Jon.

Happy Thanksgiving!

A Month of Gratitude

I made it through September and October without feeling lonely. I walked in from the bus stop on November 1st and the quiet in the house hit me like a ton of bricks. I’m not sure if it’s because the holidays are coming and there isn’t anyone in the other room watching holiday cartoons or coloring holiday pictures, or the fact that Jon has been traveling for work since August. I spent about a half an hour feeling sorry for myself. I didn’t have any longer then that to sit and pout. I had things to do. I cleaned up my Halloween decorations, put out the thanksgiving ones. I met Lucy for lunch, ran some errands and came home to clean. Nothing exciting, just a typical Friday for me. As I looked around the house I realized that there are so many things for all of us to be thankful for. Last November we did our thankful poster but this year I took an idea from a mommy blogger and decided to do the thankful tree. I sat there cutting out over 100 leaves and realized that it was time to get Emma. When she came home she made the trunk of the tree. It was nice sitting there doing a project together. ImageImageImageImage

I spent all afternoon thankful that I only have 5 hours of quiet in the house.

I can’t wait to see what the kids fill this up with.

Five

Lucy woke up 3 hours early this morning because she wanted to open her birthday presents. I asked her if she was sure she wanted to do it so early and she said “yes, just like Christmas”. So we all went downstairs around 6am to watch Lucy open her gifts. Image

She played with her new lacrosse stick (from Megan) all morning:Image

She wore her new sandals while playing:Image

I told her we could go where ever she wanted for lunch and this is what she chose:ImageImage

We stopped to smell the roses:Image

We went to the library and the outside of the library looked so pretty we had to get a few pictures in:ImageImageImage

We went to Chloe’s chorus concert:Image

Then we came home to have some more birthday cake:Image

Lucy is so excited to finally be 5!! Look how giddy she is:Image

So far 5 is fabulous! I had such a fun day with her!! I’m just hoping the next 5 years don’t go by as quickly. Happy Birthday to my sweet Lucy! I love you so much!!

Fun Weekend!

We had such a full, fun weekend! Saturday, Chloe and I went to see Beauty and The Beast. We stopped for lunch at Panera Bread on the way there. I love being able to spend such quality one on one time with each of my girls. ImageImageImage

To say that this girl loves the theatre would be an understatement.

Yesterday we spent the day celebrating Lucy’s birthday. It’s still hard to believe that my baby is turning 5 this week!ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

She really had a great time celebrating with all her friends and family. She was so happy all day and had a really hard time falling asleep last night. After the girls went to bed I let her lay in my bed and watch tv. It’s something she won’t be able to do after her 6th birthday party. I’m so thankful that she didn’t have to get on a bus to go to school this morning. It’s nice having her all to myself today. We’ve spent the morning playing with all her new birthday toys. I still have 3 days left with a 4 year old! 🙂

My Reason For This Blog

Image

This picture right here is the reason why I started blogging. The years when Emma, Megan and Chloe were little went by in such a blur. This picture represents one of the every day moments that I love so much. I just wish I knew what we were talking about when I took the picture. Megan was about 2. Emma must have been off at school, Chloe was probably sitting in her infant seat or napping in her crib. I don’t remember. I’m sure Jon came home on time that night, we helped Emma with her homework and I made something barely edible for dinner. I’m sure the 2 littles acted crazy as they did every night before they went to bed. I’m sure Chloe watched from her little seat and took it all in. I’m sure that I crashed in bed that night exhausted from taking care of 3 babies all day. I wish I would have blogged about it then too. I have these pictures scattered throughout the house and some home videos that I can look back on but it’s the conversations and real moments that I wish I could remember.

Today Jon will come home a little late, the girls will have homework that I can’t help them with and I will cook something completely edible…..I’ve improved over the years. They will still act crazy before bed, because that’s what kids do. I will still crash in bed tonight because I’m busy taking care of my 4 gorgeous, growing girls all day long.

I will continue to take pictures of the girls eating lunch, although I’m sure it wont be pb and fluff with a Hi-C juice box. I will continue to take videos and record all of our moments because it’s something that I love to do. I will continue trying to help with homework at night, I will wait with dinner done every night for Jon to come home and I will enjoy their craziness at bed time for a few more years. I love having all of these memories to look back on. I love watching them grow and I’m excited for their future. I just wish it would slow down a little. I’m starting to think that Motherhood should come with some sort of warning label.
